High Engagement Posts: Suggestions and Examples

Your campaign is set and ready to go. Now you need posts to drive traffic for you and your partners. Looking through past campaigns, we’ve compiled a list of some examples of posts that have received a high number of impressions, a high click-through rate, and/or engaged viewers enough to like, comment, retweet, and share--which means even more impressions!

Some of the habits we’ve noticed that result in these effective posts include:

• Add text to an image, such as the campaign name or call to action

• Use an image template to add each partner’s logo to the image on a post scheduled for them

• Draw attention to the end of the campaign

• Incorporate user submitted content into later posts, especially for photo contests

• Occasionally highlight prizes/rewards; this can be straightforward, though doing so creatively can be better

• Include images that will be interesting to audiences, such as rarely seen or behind the scenes pictures

• Incorporate appropriate memes and humor - or posts that will produce humor in the comments

• Compose content to appeal to yours and your partners’ audiences (the Made in America Movement example below also performed well for partners)
• Activate strong user emotions and connections, particularly patriotism

• Promote voting for photo contests
